GreenMount is a boutique independent advisory and funds management firm that advises on, and has the ability to co-invest in, private capital transactions predominantly in the Australian and New Zealand venture capital and private equity sectors. We have offices in Sydney, Auckland, and Christchurch.
GreenMount’s core advisory services are tax structuring and tax due diligence as well as financial advisory.
GreenMount is growing rapidly and is looking for exceptional professionals to join the existing M&A Tax team.

We are the only independent M&A tax focused advisory business in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Our GreenMount Capital funds management business presents opportunities for us to participate financially in deals alongside our advisory clients either through our own venture capital co-invest fund or our private equity co-invest fund.
About the role
Client facing work involves:
- undertaking tax due diligence and tax structuring to support buy-side and sell-side transactions
- design and implementation of private equity and venture capital funds and management equity plans
- you will work alongside and learn from senior M&A tax people, all of whom have many years of Big 4 / top-tier law firm experience and are hands on
Firm building involves:
- in GreenMount’s growing business, one of your key activities will be to build and maintain relationships with existing clients or targets
- you will be encouraged to bring new ideas to growing our business and supported in executing on those ideas
- we have a sophisticated, whole of team, approach to business development and you will work closely with our senior team members in growing our market share

About you
- Minimum 3 years experience within a top or mid-tier accounting or top tier legal firm in the international tax, M&A or corporate tax areas
- Ideally, M&A tax experience on buy-side and sell-side transactions
- General Tax Advisory experience across at least income tax law, regulations and guidance
- An Accounting or Law degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident in your ability to be a positive contributor
