Tax & Investment Accountant

Our finance team are based in Melbourne and due to business growth we are looking for an Accountant – Tax & Investments to join the team. With a wide range of tax, accounting and investment administration responsibilities this diverse and exciting role could be your next opportunity.

About the role
You will work as part of a small team to provide tax compliance, investment administration and accounting support for KordaMentha entities and family office support as well as other project responsibilities. 

• Tax compliance including preparation of tax return workpapers, BAS, FBT, Taxable Payments, ABN and tax registrations including GST, FATCA & CRS compliance
• Tax and Accounting policy, procedure and compliance documentation review and update
• Maintaining investment registers and documentation
• Assisting the team with reporting, research and analysis as required

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar
• Be CAANZ or CPA qualified
• Have strong Excel skills
• Sound knowledge of tax compliance requirements in Australia
• Tax or BAS agent registration an advantage
• Have strong knowledge of accounting standards and application
• Have Management reporting and analysis skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics FinOps and Financial Reporter
• Be flexible to work on projects and manage workload to external and internal deadlines
