This is a one (1) month fixed term, part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2024 with possible extension.
Balcatta Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated Computing Teacher to join our team.
The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. The successful applicant preferably will be flexible and adaptive to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. The successful applicant will ideally have the willingness, necessary current qualifications, and capacity to deliver Certificate 2 in Workplace Skills and a Certificate 3 in Business.
Candidates who have high level, capacity, and experience working with Students at Educational Risk and English (SAER) or as an English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) Teaching will be highly regarded, however, Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
To be successful, applicants will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school's values, ethos, and priorities across the school community. They should work collaboratively with their colleagues and build positive relationships with their students. The successful applicant should be performance driven and use evidence based decision-making skills.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.
