About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher/ Librarian to join the supportive team at St Lawrence’s Catholic Primary School in Coonabarabran, NSW. The teacher in a Catholic school is someone who can encourage development and nurture the personal, spiritual and educational growth of each and every student.
We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
- Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
- Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
- Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
- Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
- Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.
- Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities.

About You
The Teacher Librarian will cultivate a richer educational journey for our students through contemporary teaching experience, relevant qualifications and the following section criteria:
- Proven ability to effectively teach Primary curriculum
- Experience in developing quality physical and online information services in the management of a school library collection
- Extensive Information Communication Skills (ICT) and knowledge of Web 2.0 tools
- Extensive knowledge of children’s literacy with a contemporary literature repertoire and knowledge of how to promote and foster reading and writing.
- Global view of information and computing skills in the context of curriculum aims and learning
- Able to function effectively as a member of a professional learning community and enthusiastically make contributions to the team
- Have knowledge, understanding and design practices based upon the ALIA AITSL Teacher Librarian Practice Guidelines (desirable)
- Committed to Model of Christ Centred Learning and CEDB Professional Learning Community culture
