Appointment Pool

Dalyellup College is seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.

We are looking for exceptional educators who ideally possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and are committed to supporting their students to achieve excellent educational outcomes. Suitable applicants would be committed to improving outcomes for every student, every day, through our whole school approaches using evidence-based instructional strategies. Suitable applicants will ideally promote, model, and maintain high expectations and adhere to whole school approaches that are evidence-based and supported by research.

Suitable applicants will ideally possess proficiency in current and effective teaching practice and support the school’s strategic goals and directions. The positions will be covering a range of subjects, including Maths, English, HASS, Science, Technologies, Arts and HPE.

Dalyellup College features contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities, located in the community of Dalyellup on the outskirts of Bunbury in the Capel Shire. It is an Independent Public School catering for approximately 800 secondary students from Year 7-12. The community of Dalyellup (‘a village in the forest by the sea’) is growing, with new land and homes being built. The College forms part of an Independent Public Schools Cluster together with Dalyellup Primary School, Tuart Forest Primary School and Capel Primary School.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

  • Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment.
  • Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
  • Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
  • Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
  • Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
  • Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
