This is an important role to make a positive difference to students through reflective processes and is part of the school’s new behaviour management framework modelled on best practice.The successful applicant will ideally be a highly effective teacher who is seeking a dedicated Student Services role. They would be highly effective in engaging, motivating and supporting students and College staff. They should be committed to our college vision, and the school’s strategic plan, behaviour policy and framework. Capacity to build relationships with students and staff, maintain firm but fair boundaries and lead restorative conversations are key aspects of this position.The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

  • Interpersonal skills and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Knowledge of classroom management skills;
  • Professional knowledge in relation to working in Student Services, positive learning frameworks and/or restorative practices;
  • Data analysis skills and evidence-based planning to monitor and track students; and
  • Ability to engage in reflective practice, informed by classroom observations, student feedback surveys and close examination of student performance data.
About the SchoolAveley SC opened in 2018 with Year 7 and now offers a full range of classes from Year 7 to Year 12. Committed to excellence, the College has established a progressive and future-focused approach to meeting student needs. The curriculum is engaging and heavily incorporates technology, with support for STEM and the Arts.
