Sir Joseph Banks High School is a comprehensive High School with a current enrolment of 931 mainstream students and a Support Unit of 72 students catering for 3 Intellectually Mild and 2 Intellectually Moderate classes. - Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and Food Technology. Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Hospitality-Commercial Cookery providing the qualification entry benchmark is met.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills with the capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute to whole school programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide engaging and challenging differentiated lessons and programs to cater for student diversity and students with additional learning and support needs.
- Demonstrated implementation of effective literacy practices and ability to deliver programs with a focus on student growth.
- Proven ability to manage practical workspaces to ensure student safety, full participation and high levels of engagement in lessons.
