We are currently seeking applications for a Team Leader to join Fines Enforcement and Recovery Team at The Department of Treasury & Finance.
Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range $84,522 - $94,003 (p.a.).

The Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit (Fines Unit) is a business unit of the DTF and is responsible for the effective collection, resolution and enforcement of overdue fines and other debts owed to the state to assist in meeting the overall DTF strategic goals and objectives.

The Fines Unit Leadership Team has a primary focus on ensuring all our team members have access to the information, training and support required to do and enjoy the roles they fulfill within the organisation.
About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Team Leader, the Team Leader will provide effective leadership, coaching, mentoring, development and guidance to dedicated teams of Senior Collections and Collections Officers in a high volume in-bound call centre environment. A primary focus of the Team Leader position is working with the leadership group managing real-time resources and personnel to create high performing teams to meet the Fines Unit’s key targets and goals.
About you
Your key responsibilities are:
- Providing team members with regular supervision and effective coaching, communication, development and mentoring in line with the Fines Unit business practices.
- Assisting team members with client interaction escalations for distressed or vulnerable clients and responding to clients through direct outbound contact when required.
- Demonstrating behaviours that contributes to and encourages a culture of cross-team collaboration.
- Undertaking Performance Management processes with staff to set individual and team goals, provide feedback on performance and encourage development and learning.
- Working closely with leadership to identify continuous improvement opportunities associated with developing and enabling service delivery goals to be met.
- Working at Port Adelaide and/or CBD Adelaide sites according to business needs.
To be successful you will be:
- Proven experience in managing staff and teams, coaching, developing, mentoring and performance management.
- Experience in managing staff and workloads in a high-volume, scheduled operational environment, preferably in a customer focused environment.
- A clear understanding of workforce planning requirements, meeting service levels and strategic goals.
