About the Role & Team
The Business Economy and Activation Division is dedicated to positioning Melbourne as the premier destination for business, creativity, culture, and education. Within this division, Invest Melbourne leads strategic initiatives to reactivate our city post-COVID-19. We collaborate with key stakeholders to unleash opportunities and drive impactful change.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader Business Concierge to oversee and coordinate a team of Business Concierge Officers. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless support for businesses within our municipality, making it easier for them to start up and grow. As the Team Leader, you will manage daily operations and team performance, driving continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our services. Your responsibilities will include leading key projects and fostering a constructive culture rooted in our core values of integrity, courage, accountability, respect, and excellence.
As an influential leader, you will attract, develop, and retain exceptional employees who share our vision of being a leading organisation for a leading city. You will guide and mentor your team to achieve excellence, promoting a performance-based culture where accountability and high standards are paramount. What you will bring to City of Melbourne
- Relevant qualification in program management, strategic planning, communications, business, or engagement, and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making driving change in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Experience in a leadership role, with a track record of driving high-performance outcomes and fostering a constructive culture.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and present complex information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset and the capacity to identify obstacles and develop viable solutions.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, working effectively across teams and departments to achieve shared objectives.
