About the Role
Engage with the Darebin community to creatively and collaboratively enhance library services and ensure we have welcoming library spaces.
Develop and implement customer experience initiatives that prioritise inclusion, equity and respect for all
Manage, lead and develop the Customer Service Team and support the team through change (up to 10 direct reports and approximately 30 secondary reports including casual library officers)
Provide operational and branch leadership, while efficiently managing operational resources.
Agreement to work one evening shift per week as a part of standard hours, and agreement to work a minimum of one rostered Saturday and one rostered Sunday shift in each 8-week cycle. Time in Lieu or additional pay, as relevant, applies to weekend work.
Skills & Experience
The ability to apply empathy and listen to and understand the community’s diverse needs and creatively translate them into library procedures, services and initiatives
Experience in customer service or experience and/or delivery of community-focussed services or programs and/or project management
Experience in team management and leadership (change management an advantage)
The ability to learn and develop new systems of work and to maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong organisational and communication skills
