Band 6 - Salary Range $92,304 to $100,516per annum + 11% Super + ADO

The Opportunity
Melton City Council's Young Communities Team is seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant, and energetic leader to join the team as Team Leader Development & Support.
Young Communities are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all young people. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team that delivers a range of supportive programs and activities that empower young people & promote positive social connectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and coordinate the delivery of the Young Communities programs and services.
- Facilitate or participate in relevant networks and working groups with other organisations and service providers to share information and develop strategies and priorities for responding to the needs of all young people.
- Provide active and effective leadership, support and supervision for the Youth Development and Support team, managing resources to achieve targeted objectives with a focus on staff development.
- Monitor and ensure that all funding compliances associated with the delivery of the service are maintained. This includes service standards and targets, data collection and reporting requirements are fully compliant.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Development and Welfare or a related discipline with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications and relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in working with young people and their families within a broader community context, that is inclusive of all community members.
- Lead and motivate staff in the development of youth programs and events.
- Relevant experience with youth and community Development and planning.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
