Love working outdoors? We are looking at expanding our team, we are looking for Field Technician Team Leaders.
Gambara is a majority owned Indigenous organisation, who are fast becoming leaders in the project management and delivery of major horticultural, landscaping & Weed Control contracts across Perth and outer suburbs.
The work can be physically demanding and so you need to be fit and able bodied, who can work outdoors under all weather conditions.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Leading teams from 2-12 people
- Creating a positive team environment and work ethic
- Follow Gambara's policies and procedures
- Weed Control - Herbicide Treatment
- Native plant & tree planting
- Seeding
- General landscaping maintenance
- Mowing & Whipper snipping
- Brush cutting
- Pruning
- Hardscape maintenance
Essential criteria:
- A current Drivers Licence - with ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Previous Team Leader role
- Previous experience in landscaping, planting or Weed Control
- Fit and able bodied
- Reliable
- Be able to work regional if needed
- Knowledge and identification of common Perth weed species and Native Plants
- Be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen and Pre-Employment Medicals including Audio, Spiro & Musculoskeletal
- Hold a current or one to be renewed Pest Management Technician Licence
- Certificate that includes three units required to spray chemicals (AHCPMG301 Control Weeds, AHCCHM307 Prepare and Apply Chemicals to control pest weeds and diseases, AHCCHM304 Transport, Handle and Store Chemicals) These units can be found in the following courses: Certificate III in Horticulture, Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem/Land Management, Certificate III in Pest Management, Certificate III in Weed Management.
Desirable:
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Qualification to Operate and Maintain a Chainsaw
- First Aid + CPR Certificate
