About the Role
Working across Seddon and Werribee, the Team Leader will oversee Unison’s Intake Assessment & Planning (IAP) program, including supervising the IAP workers. Some of the main duties include:
- Collaborating with the Manager and other Team Leaders to provide high quality and effective IAP and other homelessness services
- Support, supervise and enable a team of committed IAP workers to deliver highly accessible and client focused services
- Address complaints and concerns in a timely manner and in line with Unison’s policies and procedures regarding complaints
- Comply with the DHHS Standards and other relevant guidelines
- Oversee the roster for the service and the use of government funding to ensure expenditure does not exceed organisational budgets/grants received
- Carry out administration and data collection and provide statistics and reports when required.
To make this role a success, we are seeking a person who:
- Has a relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Development, Housing or relevant tertiary qualification
- Highly experienced in working effectively and sensitively with a broad range of clients, including those with high ad complex support needs and challenging behaviours
- Demonstrated skills and experience in supervising, supporting and developing a team
- Ability to listen, understand and problem solve issues across a number of different platforms.
- Full time Fixed term position to March 2025
- $102K p.a. plus superannuation
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax free
- 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% annual leave loading
