Exciting opportunity for a domestic unlimited builder to lead our Knowledge and Experience Assessment building team on a fixed term basis.
Position overview
The Team Leader, Knowledge & Experience Assessment is responsible for managing the operational delivery of building practitioner assessment which supports the VBA's administration of the licencing and registrations scheme under the Building Act 1993.
This includes the day to day management of the Knowledge and Experience Assessment team (including VBA employees and contracted assessors). The Team Leader, Knowledge and Experience Assessment provides specialist technical advice to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the VBA's assessment framework, including undertaking the development, review and improvement of assessment tools. The role requires liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
- a Registered Building Practitioner – either Domestic Builder (Unlimited), Commercial Builder (Unlimited), Inspector (Unlimited), or Building Surveyor (Unlimited)
- experience in the education sector or similar experience in assessment practices and service delivery will be highly regarded.
- a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a willingness to obtain is highly desirable.
- strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are a must.
- a collaborative and forward thinking leader.
