About The Role
The Team Leader within the Mobile Support Team (MSTS) will work collaboratively with the Consultant Psychiatrist and other Senior Clinicians in MSTS, and under the direction of the AMHS Rehabilitation Services Manager (Outer East) in providing professional leadership, ensuring high quality clinical standards, quality improvement and ongoing development of the Rehabilitation Program.
An rare leadership opportunity now exists to join a friendly, dedicated and dynamic Rehabilitation Team within the Mental Health Program at Eastern Health across Outer East MSTS.
The team prides itself on delivering high quality recovery orientated care whilst upholding values of supporting staff emotional health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensure that Eastern Health’s objectives are upheld and that the standards, practice guidelines and legal requirements are adhered to and/or implemented by the multidisciplinary team.
- Actively co-lead the clinical service delivery, and lead the multidisciplinary team to ensure that clinical quality and risk, service performance and care standards are maintained.
- To lead team planning and development activities within MSTS and work to enhance the profile of the MSTS across the Eastern Health Area Mental Health Service through the provision of clinical treatment, effective liaison and service development
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Rehabilitation Stream in the Central/Outer East as a key member of the Leadership Team.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse and appropriate qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing.
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, AHPRA.
- Holds a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for membership as a social worker. Maintains compliance with the AASW Continuing Professional Development Policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard.
- Full registration or eligibility for full registration as a Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team and ability to build a positive and cooperative team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support, with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals.
- Extensive experience working with consumers with a lived experience of mental ill health including skills in assessment, crisis intervention, counselling, relapse prevention and recovery focused interventions.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with evidence of booster and Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
