We are seeking a highly organised experienced Team Leader with a passion for serving customers in a fast-paced environment who can manage a department like a small business.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and team-oriented professional with a background in environmental consulting, laboratory, warehouse and logistics, rental or hire industry, internal sales or a customer service/management/operations role. You will receive ongoing training and support to transition into this management role.
The purpose of your role is to promote our business as "experts in the market" for products and system innovation. We need you to provide the highest standard of customer service to our clients, providing fast and accurate attendance to all customer enquiries and be the driving force behind the rental department.
As a key member of the team, you will be reporting to the QLD State Manager as well as the National Rental Manager. You will be actively involved with our customers and undertake responsibilities in various tasks including:
- Exemplary customer service to our clients
- Organised preparation of rental contracts, customer quotes & tenders
- Equipment and inventory stock management and stocktaking
- Management of calibration and equipment maintenance schedule
- High level of communication with clients and team members
- Provide feedback on opportunities to internal team members.
- Seek new business opportunities with our clients and develop new and existing customer relationships providing a high level of technical support.
- Analyse the effectiveness of rental equipment offering in your territory.
- Train and mentor rental coordinators and junior team members to ensure maximum performance.
- Participate in national rental meetings and engagements.
- Conduct internal/external training on applications and equipment.
- Undertake data analytics and prepare reports.
Some of the Talents you will use in this role:
- 3-5 years as a customer service or operations Team Leader in a technical equipment, environmental or OH&S company would be highly regarded.
- A degree in environmental science, science, engineering, or a related discipline would be ideal.
- Enjoy talking with and servicing customers on equipment availability, deliveries, technical support and account queries.
- Be a tenacious problem solver.
- A team player who accepts responsibility and delivers on promises to all stakeholders.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and be highly organised.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite and previous experience in using a CRM/rental program preferred.
