The Aboriginal (Dhurrung Wunggurrwil) Program provides holistic support options including intake and assessment, allocation to case management, intensive case management, safety planning, multi agency risk assessment and management (MARAM), short term support, outreach and court support services.

The Aboriginal team works closely with the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Cooperative (BADAC).

Position Objectives:

Creatively and dynamically lead the delivery of the Dhurrung Wunggurrwil Program to:

• Promote women and children's safety, self-determination and well-being
• prevent and intervene early to address homelessness or risk of such
• support a holistic approach to Family Violence within the Aboriginal community
• promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander women's access to the program through the provision of culturally safe and appropriate services and community development activities
• promote the safety, self-determination, and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander families
• Empower families through self-determination and walking beside them on their journey
• Manage and lead a small team of Specialist Family Violence case managers
