Melbourne, the
Team Leader - Storage and Renewable Sales will drive the adoption of energy Storage and Renewable solutions among large energy consumers, while also maximizing the deployment of Shell Energy's capital and increasing the company's presence in the energy storage market.
With honesty, integrity and respect, you will:
Obtain a clear understanding of the Energy Solutions strategy and business objectives to be able to execute effectively in market;
Deliver gross margin to each of the business units within ESOL to create future growth for the business;
Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets and objectives;
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base;
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing customer relationships and actively seeking out potential clients;
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty;
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and maximize sales opportunities;
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement;
Continuously assess and enhance the sales team's skills and capabilities through training, coaching, and performance evaluations;
Set client meetings with executive level and senior management to propose our services to major customers;
Develop program of works with major customers that delivers to customers business objectives and delivers gross margin to each of the ESOL business divisions (where applicable);
Represent Shell Energy at external conferences and networking events;
Adhere to Shell safety, purchasing and work process and procedures;
Conduct reporting and pipeline management within our internal customer relationship management systems; and
Uphold the organization's core beliefs of honesty, integrity, and respect in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:
Proven track record of success in sales leadership, preferably in energy Storage and Renewables;
Extensive knowledge of energy Storage and battery deployment technologies and market trends;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders;
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, driving performance and achieving sales targets;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities;
High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and organizational values; and
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
