An opportunity exists for a dedicated individual who has a good eye for detail, takes pride in service delivery, maintains high standards of work, is reliable, and has an understanding of safe work practices.
A position is available for a Night Cleaner - Team Supervisor - working in the two biggest supermarket chains.
This is a Full Time position.
Pulling Fridges apart, cleaning them, and putting them back together. A good knowledge of hand tools is an advantage. That makes you more like a tradie than a cleaner.
The position is available 4 nights a week, Mondays to Thursday nights, starting at 9pm and work until the job is finished, usually around 6am, and will take you all over Melbourne metro, suburban and rural areas.
There will also be some day work when required.
Interstate travel will be required, around one week per month
The cleaning to be completed is very labor intensive.
You must:
- Be reliable and have a sense of urgency.
- Have a high level of accountability.
- Have working rights, police check and Tax File Number (TFN).
- Have a current drivers licence and be able to drive company vehicles that are automatic and manual transmission.
As the Team Supervisor, leading a team of 2-4 on the job you will be required, but not limited to:
- Complete any necessary paperwork and administration tasks that are required before and after each job, each night
- Assist with rostering team
- Be point of contact between management and staff during the night
- Be point of contact with store managers onsite during the job
- Ensure all OH&S and cleaning procedures are followed by yourself and your team
- Be responsible for company supplied equipment, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and safe to use
- You will also be the point of contact for the other teams at other sites throughout the night, both in Victoria and Interstate, assisting in solving any issues that may arise
All of the above responsibilities are essential to being successful at this job
Previous commercial cleaning experience may be an advantage but not essential - training and site induction will also be provided.
