About the role

We're seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a passion for innovation to lead the charge in assessing and enhancing Origin Energy’s API security maturity. This is your chance to make a real impact on a 6 month contract opportunity.
Why the role matters
As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of the API Security uplift project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and implement best practices in people, process, and technology. Your role matters because you'll be instrumental in fortifying our defences against cyber threats, working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate closely with API Platform owners and key stakeholders to drive impactful change.
- Shape and implement effective requirements practices, policies, and procedures.
- Document existing and new business processes, paving the way for enhanced security measures.
- Communicate business needs and requirements to stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment.
- Create and document new workflow processes, revolutionising API Security at Origin Energy.
What will you bring?
Your passion for mature technologies, analytical expertise, and eye for detail will set you apart. You'll be a strong communicator, with the ability to effortlessly translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders. You will also demonstrate:
- A deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts and strategic business objectives.
- Experience in designing and developing technical documents with precision.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive consensus towards common goals.
- Expertise in implementing documented practices into operational teams.
Desirable requirements include experience with Jira/Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as familiarity with application security and API development in a DevSecOps context.
