Luerssen Australia was established in 2018 to commence construction of 12 Offshore Patrol Vessels for the Royal Australian Navy over a 12 year period. We work closely with our customer and stakeholders to deliver excellence in service.
The Role
This role is responsible for coordination of activities related to the Luerssen Australia Deviations, Claims and Corrective Actions processes, and interface to the Non-Conformance and Quality Processes. These processes are the Technical Management (TM) and BUF Processes.
This includes governance of process, ensuring progress and timely closure of TMs and BUFs within their relevant system(s), by managing self, and driving accountability from action owners to process completion through use of reporting, and conducting meetings as well as liaising with Sub-Contractors and the CoA.
This role reports into the Project Function via the Project Director WA, and functionally to the Head of Configuration Management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure strict governance of both the Technical Management, and BUF Processes within Luerssen Australia (L-Aus).
- Triage & coordinate all incoming TMs to assess whether TM, NCR or BUF are required.
- Provide subject matter expertise for LAUS with regards to the Technical Management and BUF Processes within LAUS.
- Coordinate and Chair weekly TM/BUF Meetings to ensure timely closure of actions.
- Generation of daily status reporting to drive timely closure of actions and escalation.
- Support in the generation of reporting to Snr. Management and Executives using the CM Dashboards.
- Manage the TM Project within JIRA
- Provide support as requested and required by the Head of Configuration Management.
- Complies with the L-Aus, and Project specific Configuration Management processes, roles and responsibilities and meet needs for Configuration based on Standards and Contractual Requirements.
- Identify, develop, and implement improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Recognised degree in the field of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Naval Architecture) or, a combination of other relevant qualifications and work experience.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements with key outcomes delivered.
- Experience in working in large and complex programs.
- Experience in managing multiple activities and priorities and ability to deliver agreed content within required timeframes.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer experience and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in a similar role and industry ? desirable not essential
- Interpretation of drawings, bill of materials and work orders / general knowledge of shipbuilding processes (advantageous)
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proven orientation towards following and developing processes
- Technical aptitude
- Ability to interpret flowcharts and action plans
- Excellent organisational skills
