Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in ICT or a business related discipline will be highly regarded.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience in the ICT technical communications infrastructure environment - supporting call and dispatch operations, consisting of critical telephony, computer aided dispatch solution, mobile data solution and its networks, back-end infrastructure, system integration and various software applications.
Substantial technical and application knowledge of communications technology environments which can be utilised to recommend solutions and strategies to decision makers and influence the development of policy within a large, diverse emergency service organisation.
Demonstrated high level experience in directing, managing and coordinating internal and external technical resources within a complex environment of changing priorities and needs with limited resources.
Demonstrated technical coordination skills with a proven track record of achieving quality outcomes within a structured project management framework.
Extensively developed skills in consultation, engagement and communication (written and verbal), with a diverse group of stakeholders, in an environment of change.
Proven ability to contribute to technical design and architecture decisions and experience in developing technical requirements specification, quality assurance and transition to support documentation in a public sector ICT environment.
