UGL Nebo Maintenance have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Coordinator to join our team to deliver high maintenance performance standards on the Nebo locomotive fleets.The roles will be offered on a permanent basis working on a 7/7 roster rotating consisting of days, afternoons and night and 11.5-hour shifts.If you do not live local or a DIDO distance from site, FIFO to and from Nebo would be at your own expense, however camp accommodation and meals is provided in Nebo for your roster.About the RoleReporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the primary purpose of the Technical Coordinator is to work with the Service Technicians to deliver high maintenance performance standards on the Nebo locomotive fleets. This position will act as the primary point of contact for all customers, via the UGL phone “Helpdesk”, this role requires receiving/recording and prioritising of work for the UGL Maintenance fleets.The Technical Coordinators assisted by the service technicians be responsible for fault finding/ troubleshooting activities on rolling stock problems throughout the rail network as required.· Ensure rolling stock downtime is minimised.· Oversee multi-skilled maintenance trades who perform tasks on both workshop scheduled work and in service unscheduled repairs.· Receive calls from customers and locomotive driver to reset/rectify locomotive faults in field.· Attend all In Service call-outs repairs and prioritise as required.· Undertake fault finding/troubleshooting of complex rolling stock problems.· Input of Fault Records/Incidents into the Maintenance Management System (SAP).· Verify the integrity of the rolling stock; sign-off inspection and other maintenance.· Requisition material and components to defined stores system process.· Assist the Service Delivery Manager to co-ordinate the repair and maintenance requirements.· In field downloading of fault / event logs and analysing of data.· Perform Emergency Response duties as required; including derailment response.· Support of continuously reviews of existing process to provide the maximum level of efficiency in line with Lean practices.About You· Trade level certification or equivalent engineering qualification.· Previous experience with Diesel fitting in Heavy maintenance environment
- Experience in rail locomotive and or commissioning.
- Advanced Siemens locomotive system knowledge.
- Ability to resolve complex mechanical and electrical warranty, quality, maintenance and service problems.
- Ability to prioritise work requirements to meet customer deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email.
