  • To be successful in this role you will have experience in Sheep Management and Sheep Husbandry systems, shearing, wool classing and or wool handling experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience working in teams to achieve shared goals and high-level communication skills with a cheerful outlook.
  • Experience in a training environment ideally with upper aged secondary students would be ideal though not essential.
The successful applicant would be expected and assisted, to achieve qualifications necessary for the role if they didn’t already possess them.About the schoolEstablished in 1906, Narrogin is the oldest agricultural College in the state and consistently ranks in the Top Public Schools for Vocational Education and Training. Students in years 10 through to 12 enrol from all over the state and the majority board on site.The course is centred on agriculture and related trades and students have access to education and training in industry relevant facilities. The theory of agriculture learned in the class program is coupled with practical skills developed on the college's 1340-hectare farm which operates several commercial scale enterprises.The college operates as a Registered Training Organisation and is fortunate to have a significant Trade Training Centre. Students can tailor a program from pathways which culminate in the Western Australian Certificate of Education with the possibility of generating an ATAR score along with a range of other qualifications.This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.Please note: The salary level for this position will be determined after the successful applicant is assessed as addressing all eligibility and selection criteria indicated in the relevant attached JDF in the context of the outcomes and selection criteria described.The highest rate an applicant can start at as a L1 is Level 1.4 (as negotiated with the principal). However, applicants may still be able to commence at a L2.1 or L3.1 if suitably qualified or with requisite experience.Level 2, $70,432 - $75,516 per annum (PSCA 2022) + 15.3% commuted allowance (PSCA 2022)Level 3, $79,156 - $84,977 per annum (PSCA 2022) + 15.3% commuted allowance (PSCA 2022)Applications will be assessed against the work related requirements (selection criteria) of the position.
