Requirements:
- A degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM-related field.
- Proven experience in analyzing and advising on complex technical matters.
- Ability to evaluate technical factors alongside other pertinent considerations to arrive at practical solutions to problems.
- Proficiency in explaining complex issues in clear, concise language, with a track record of preparing well-structured written communications.
- Experience or skills in providing policy advice, demonstrating an understanding of the intersection between technical and regulatory frameworks.
As a Technical Policy Advisor within the Energy Sector, you will:
- Deliver projects and contribute to projects ensuring the provision of accurate advice and recommendations.
- Conduct research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and problem-solving to deliver evidence-based advice on market development issues, rule changes, and reviews.
- Co-ordinate and contribute to substantive analytical processes.
- Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports to facilitate understanding and readiness for publication and implementation.
- Establish effective working relationships with project teams and sponsors/leaders, communicating progress and obstacles to support project completion.
- Lead and/or participate in meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for effective project outcomes.
- Select, engage, and manage external consultants to achieve project deliverables and milestones within agreed project plans, budgets, and time frames.
