This business is currently looking for a Sales Engineer for its Perth based operations. Reporting to the Sales Manager, as part of the supportive sales team, you will be responsible for Technical Sales activities across Western Australia.

This is a business that celebrates wins with its staff with a transparent approach to revenue and profit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, engage and develop prospective clients, whilst maintaining key client accounts
  • Interpret client specifications and requirements
  • Communicate technical information, product selection and design requirements
  • Product presentations and demonstrations for clients
  • Technical quotations and participation in tendering
  • Update internal database detailing interactions with clients and prospective clients
  • Strategically follow up on all potential business
  • Attending industry events and developing brand awareness
  • Weekly meetings to collaborate, share knowledge and discuss market trends
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the product range
  • Technical support with assistance from field technicians
  • State-wide travel with occasional interstate visits

Ideally you will have/be:
  • Related professional experience and/or relevant technical qualification (tertiary or trade)
  • Experience selecting industrial products for the process industry or a related industry
  • Proven capacity to grow and maintain sales, with drive to maximise sales growth
  • Capacity to comprehend process technology applications
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • High level of professional integrity, strategic planning ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and organisational skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a highly motivated team
  • Desire for professional improvement and continuous learning
