Technical Sales Engineer - Sth Eastern Suburbs

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced, self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join this global leader who provide manufacturing spraying solutions to various industries such as food and beverage, meat, steel and paper companies.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be part of a small team and pursue sales leads through visiting existing customers and identifying new business across the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

• Build, maintain & support relationships with existing customers by regularly making contact via phone, Teams meetings or onsite visits
• Business Development to identify new industrial customer opportunities including cold calling
• Solve customer’s problems & continuously seek new applications where spraying solutions can be implemented in their processes
• Provide technical support for customers, including diagnosing industrial process equipment onsite
• Prepare technically accurate quotes for customers
• Train customers on new technology implemented onsite
• Organise technical demonstrations of products onsite or at head office/showroom
• Attend to administrative requirements such as weekly sales reports, monthly expenses etc
• Support and participate in Corporate Goals

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

• Engineering or technical degree (Electro-mechanical Engineer highly regarded)
• Proven experience and knowledge of pressures, flows, velocity etc in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical components used in manufacturing systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and diagnostic skills
• Self motivated to work autonomously and be able to manage and plan own workload
• Professional communication skills both verbal and written
• Current Australian drivers licence
• Good computer skills including MS Office and experience with ERP systems. Ability to use Powerpoint for presentations highly regarded
