SalaryBellcore is pleased to be working with one of Australia's leading manufacturer and suppliers of automotive equipment. In business for over 50 years, with manufacturing facilities located here in Australia, as well as overseas, they're recognised as a preferred supplier to many government departments across Australia.
They manufacture a broad spectrum of automotive lighting, safety equipment and electrical systems such as switches, CCTV, alarm systems, wiring and much more. They supply to Original Equipment Manufacturers (Engineering houses) whom custom build vehicles on behalf of end users; some of their largest clientele in across include NSW Ambulance, Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services department.
OPPORTUNITY
Due to growth of the business, our client is seeking a Manager, Technical Sales responsible for supporting their most technical and 'high-end' portfolio of automotive control equipment & wiring. Your duties will see you travelling once every 4-6 weeks, visiting key clients, negotiating agreements and generating sales revenue. Some of your clients will include OEM (original equipment manufacturers), dealers of heavy equipment, auto-electricians & consultants.
This is considered the 'rolls royce' of automotive sales as there is little prospecting needed; you'll be the go-to enterprise salesperson to support the local sales representatives who are doing all of the legwork towards identifying new business opportunities

In order to be considered for this role, knowledge of auto-electrics is critically important. Some of the profiles of candidates we'd consider include:
• You have existing business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in the automotive sector; you could be selling to OEM's, retailers, distributors, service centres, contractors (technicians), end users and/or engineering houses - so long as it's automotive related, you're a good fit.
◦ Products you might have previously sold include; passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, trailers, transport equipment, engine parts, vehicle body parts, tyres, oils, fluids, filtration, batteries, lighting, audio, auto-electrical, wiring, rims, wheels and connectors
• You have a prior trade background as a Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter (of any kind), or an Auto-Electrician giving you a good headstart into the applications of technologies
