Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced customer-focused Airfreight Reservation or Export Officer, to join our dynamic team at Bankstown. The successful candidate will have freight forwarding or GSA experience, has worked with airlines and is familiar with airfreight and airline regulations.
In this role, you will responsible for managing Airfreight Reservations, coordinating shipments, managing documentation, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and providing exceptional Customer Service to our clients and suppliers.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Handle Airfreight Reservations and bookings in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaising with major airlines, freight forwarders, customers and suppliers to coordinate smooth export shipments.
- Managing, compiling, and processing all export documentation to meet regulations.
- Provide excellent Customer Service to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Communicating with internal and external freight forwarders to ensure cargo is presented to the Airport terminal on time.
- Liaising with internal departments to solve supplier enquiries and any billing issues which may arise.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients as needed.
- Assisting in liaising with ground handlers to ensure clear loading instructions are provided for each flight respectively.
- Assist in resolving any issues or delays in the export process.
- Support to managers for other Operational duties, as needed.
Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience in airfreight cargo Reservation and/or export operations.
- Previous experience in Freight-forwarding, GSA and dealing with airlines.
- Excellent communication and Customer Service skills.
- Strong knowledge of airfreight procedures, regulations, and documentation.
- Obtained a bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or Commerce, Sales, or Marketing, or a related field.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.
- Australian citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with unrestricted working rights.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (Beneficial)
