The Meher Group is a fast-growing family-owned trailer parts manufacturer and distributor with its Head Office in Australia and offices around the world. The Group is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to be part of its small team to facilitate its growth in across Australia.
The Role
The position will require the candidate to work closely with customers and internal teams, with an overall goal to increase sales for the Group’s AUS operations.
Duties include:
- Managing critical key accounts
- Servicing existing customers with their requirements for new products and developments
- Actively seeking new customers – through email/phone/contacts/cold-calling.
- Educating customers (new and existing) of the Group’s manufacturing abilities and product range with the goal to increase sales.
- Ensuring follow ups are carried out internally to meet customers’ requirements for new engineering developments.
- Act as the project lead for any Customer New Product Developments.
- Keeping CRM up to date with outstanding actions and projects.
- Preparing Sales data and forecasts for internal stakeholders such as finance, engineering, and purchasing to ensure customer demands can be met.
- Ensuring customers and teams are in-sync to meet demands.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate has outstanding customer management and communication skills and is looking to grow in the role.
Desirable skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in Sales/Marketing/Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to manage CRM
- Ability to understand technical products.
- High attention to detail with a systematic and organised approach to work.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Be self-motivated and can work autonomously, but also in collaboration with other departments as required.
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
- Experience in the trailer or caravan industry is highly preferred
