About the Role
  
Reporting to the Senior Road Services Officer, the Technical Services Officer leads road inspections, collects data, and provides Technical Services to maintain the council's asset management systems.

Duties

• Conduct scheduled inspections of roads and infrastructure, prioritising areas outlined in the Road Management Plan.
• Address inquiries from customers regarding drainage and road-related inspections.
• Facilitate communication between council departments regarding road infrastructure.
• Assess permit requests for road works and oversee operations.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment use and maintenance.
• Undertake assigned tasks as directed by management.

  
Essential requirements 

• Certificate in Construction, Engineering, Building, Planning, Environmental Services or relevant experience.
• Experience in WHS or risk management.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• White Card.
• Local Government experience (desired).
• Driver’s Licence.
