Your new role
In the Technical Support Service (Supervisor) position, you will provide Technical Support to our client’s customers, identifying and analysing equipment condition as well as providing recommendations and solutions to limit unplanned down-time predominately with customer prep plants.
In this role you will:
- Form an integral part of the business, ensuring that all commissioning and service work is performed safely and at a high standard
- Sign off on works completed once inspections carried out and standards met
- Proactively participate in any relevant business improvement projects and initiatives
- Develop strong relationships with clients to acquire information about their processes onsite and feed this back in the customer management systems
- Liaise with the customer to correctly identify technical problems and seek to resolve them quickly and efficiently
- Develop close partnerships with customers to engender trust and gain repeat business
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify new business growth opportunities
- Ensure accurate recording of timesheets and related documents are made available to complete timely invoicing of service jobs
- Attend customer sites in The Hunter Valley and possible interstate sites if needed
- Liaise with site contact to prioritise work to achieve required plant availability
- Work with engineering to resolve site equipment issues and optimisation/ upgrades of existing equipment
- Keep local management informed regarding key issues and problems that may have a high impact or present a risk to the business
- Instigate and document “Toolbox Talks” with service personnel prior to beginning work
- Comply with company OHS Systems and strive to maintain a zero-harm culture within the workplace
- Travel to mine sites for equipment commissioning
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualifications
- Minimum Cert III in Engineering
- Previous Experience in a site supervisory role
- Previous experience in servicing mineral processing equipment, in particular vibration equipment, within the mining industry
- Knowledge of works with vibration analysis, machine lubrication and solving complex technical problems
- People Management experience
- Current Driving Licence
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility, and the capacity to carry out assigned tasks without close supervision
