In this newly-created full time role, the Technology Support Engineer, based at our head office in The Rocks overlooking beautiful Sydney Harbour, you will:
Support Solutions Engineers on software applications.
Participate and execute technical standard analysis, implementation and evaluation of small-scale solution projects, within technical area of expertise on the following areas: end-user support; hardware troubleshooting and repair; operating systems and software; tools and processes.
A typical day will involve:
Investigate issues, analyses solutions and implements technical changes on small projects.
Troubleshoot server-related hardware and software incidents together with region hosting team. Restore and resume server operation in according with defined service level agreement.
Carry out yearly disaster recovery planning testing and regular check with hosting team to ensure backups are up to date. Use security approved tool to provision access to resources.
Following the site design documentation to ensure all servers, wireless, workstation, printing and meeting room infrastructure are connected per design to ensure the operation of the site to perform at its desired level.
Analyse requirements, and maintains, tests, debugs and integrates application components.
Support on making decisions on guidelines and policies, and may look to others to help in the support of making decisions.
Perform technical analysis and design, modifies and/or configures software and hardware solutions according to Takeda standards, typically executed in a defined project.
Provide application software development services or related technical support in solutions maintenance or in a defined project.
Support the delivery of business solutions deployment to production, handle IMACD-processes of End User Equipment and IT Asset Management.
Serve as local hands on support for the managed IT infrastructure and the End User Equipment.
Support on meeting rooms and meeting events
Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
Develop and maintain support documentation according to Takeda Quality Management System, Software Development Life Cycle and IT Project Life Cycle standards, policies and procedures.
You will have
- Bachelor Degree/Masters
- Working knowledge of ITIL
- Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations including desktop, server, operating systems, LAN/WAN, print, collaboration, and unified communication services
- Pharmaceutical industry and/or drug development business experience
