Position: Telecommunications Engineer
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
l Analysing clients’ current systems, including assessing performance and advising on technical plans for enhancing the current systems.
l Designing and building telecommunications networks and systems according to the needs of clients.
l Communicate with clients to ensure that our projects meet the expectations of the final user and its systems.
l Preparing proposals and developing new telecommunications systems, including preparing drawings and specifications and identifying associating costs.
l Identifying prospective telecommunications sites according to clients’ needs.
l Configuring telecommunications hardware and software to optimise system performance.
l Assessing and acquiring products and services from suppliers to meet project’s needs.
l Ensuring telecommunications system’s alignment of local regulations, policies, and protocols.
l Liaising with clients for T&C coordination on site activities.
l Drafting and interpreting specifications and guidelines for telecommunications equipment.
l Perform troubleshooting of the systems installed on site, including system tests.
l Monitoring the operational status of telecommunications systems.
l Reporting on any system issues including managing defects and tracking their resolution.
Requirements:
l Bachelor's degree in related field.
l Preferably 8+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
l Ability to operate in a design role in the practical application of telecommunications design.
l Preferably experience working at overseas field sties.
l Able to travel to Pacific Island countries when needed.
l Proficiency in telecommunications protocols, systems, and equipment.
l Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
l Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
l Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
