DGtek provides ultra fast broadband services in high density residential and commercial areas. The Company owns and operates its own Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), allowing it to effectively bypass and outperform the NBN by providing internet speeds of up to 1Gbps to commercial and residential end-users.
About the role
We are seeking a candidate to fill the full-time position of Telecommunication Engineer with the salary $75000-85000.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, staging, configuring and managing critical elements of the network including the core, provider edge and access equipment as well as maintaining technical documentation. Network change management & migration, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues are key elements of the role
Technical skills required but not limited to:
• Fibre network design, plan, configure, rollout and commission
• Contractor management
• Choose the right technology for the project and be able to defend the selected method
• Project management
• Passive equipment and materials procurement
• Fibre assets audit, applying necessary upgrades, create reports for CTO
• Installation quality control
• Installers and technicians training
• Warehouse management
• Projects quotation
• Project management from the initial stage to commissioning
• Preparing designs compliant with the regulation
• Network troubleshooting and provide a optimization report to avoid future issues
