JOB PURPOSE:
As the Territory Manager you will be responsible for the execution of positive customer relationships as the Asia Pacific regional sales liaison among dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel for rental power products, aftermarket sales, and related supporting services, consulting and enhancing the development of dealer sales capability.
You will guide and coordinate all relevant activities with customers to build operational readiness through the understanding of the business model, providing guidance on variance programs and commercial actions.
You will play a key role in designing and assisting dealers with the implementation of the strategic plan, including sales techniques and performance. Building and developing relationships, identifying sales leads and customer satisfaction improvements that foster continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB DUTIES but not limited to:
Research, design, implement and explore business development opportunities to grow and develop the business, conducting market opportunity analysis, obtaining quarterly financial metrics, facilitating dealer leadership tables, and conducting rental operational reviews to provide guidance to dealers on existing and future rental power fleet needs and operational improvement measures.
Selling rental power related products, aftermarket sales and related supporting services and assisting the dealers on forecast modelling, sales/rental/used strategy planning and sales techniques. Including supporting rollouts of new Caterpillar products, equipment, parts, customer service agreements and other service products.
Create tailored customer solutions, that foster strong relationships, enhancing customer satisfaction that continue to promote existing programs that increase sales and maximize price realization.
Continually demonstrate your depth of Industry knowledge, whilst working closely within the segment, in diverse situations and keeping up to date with new industry trends, changing technology, and regulations affecting the marketplace. Collaborate with Caterpillar teams, where needed, define and implement the business and sales opportunities, deliver on global rental team, dealer and market strategies and customised solutions.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
University degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
Strong business management and financial acumen, relevant experience in the fields of practice or related industries (electric power industries).
High level of consulting, with a professional style demonstrating the ability to engage with confidence and credibility.
Ability to objectively analyse and assess data to make informed decisions.
Proven record of strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills able to build excellent relationships, successfully influence others, and accomplish challenging goals.
Continuous improvement philosophy of always working toward cultures of excellence, from a technical and interpersonal means, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Must be willing to travel 50% or greater, both domestic and internationally.
Desirable:
Knowledge of company products, product applications and company services, including technical knowledge of gensets, switchgear, uninterruptable power supply, automatic transfer switch, photovoltaic, microgrid, energy storage and/or packaging.
