We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our growing team.
Centrally located in the recently refurbished Maitland CBD Central building, our modern office is equipped with brand new technological infrastructure and provides your own allocated car spot in our all-day undercover & secure parking facility located below our office building.
The Role:
As a Trainee Accountant at our firm, you will be given exposure to all areas of our client’s business and have a hands-on involvement with the services we provide, with your duties primarily consisting of:
- Preparation of Financial Statements
- Preparation of Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies including associated working papers
- Assisting with the preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Assisting with Single Touch Payroll Reporting & Taxable Payment Annual Reports
- Working with the Directors and Managers on Advisory Services

It is expected that the right candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Currently completing or near completion of your Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar degree that meets the prerequisite requirements for the CA Program
- A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines
- An enthusiastic and keen learner who is motivated to succeed
- A working knowledge of accounting software packages, including Xero and MYOB would be a benefit, however, this is not a requirement
