KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • To process, assemble and control complete spectacles to the highest standards.       

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with customer service team to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
  • Regular communication with Team Leader on process improvements
  • Carry out regular inventory checks and communicate results
  • Ensure quality of presentation and accuracy of contents of all outgoing parcels to customers
  • Undertake duties and training in the fitting lab including lens/frame selection and shipping/dispatch
  • Trace or scan frames/dummy lenses prior production
  • Block lenses according to the opticians specifications
  • Load and operate edging machines/equipment
  • Fitting or assembling pre-cut lenses into Metal, plastic, supra/nylon, rimless/3 piece frames and mounts
  • Quality control of finished spectacles to the opticians specific instructions and relevant Australian standards
  • Tint plastic lenses to specific colors/transmissions
  • Lens and frame picking including dispatch
  • To perform your duties diligently and in a manner that complies with company and general health and safety standards and procedures.
  • To participate in improvement initiatives when required to meet our continuous improvement philosophy
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks assigned by your Shift Leader

Maintain a safe working environment for team members, contractors and visitors and implement Specsavers OHS policies and procedures within your area of responsibility.

Ensure that all team members are inducted and trained to perform their job in a competent and safe manner.

Ensure that you or your team members do not introduce new hazards or breach OHS legislation when implementing new initiatives, products, equipment or designs.

 

 

 

 

 

Essential Skills Include:

 

  • Previous warehouse or stock handling experience is an advantage
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Computer literate
  • Basic numeracy
