Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019 and paid as an IMW 2.3 (SIG & ELEC) $51.0443 per hour plus super.
About you
We encourage expressions of interest from people Cert III qualified in Electrotechnology with experience in heavy asset, infrastructure, or related industries. You can confidently prioritise reactive, proactive, emergency and planned maintenance. If you have a strong record of safety, a sense of teamwork and a positive mindset we would love to hear from you.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Assisting with the maintenance and installation of work on signalling and communications equipment.
- Assist with the allocated routine maintenance tasks to accord with the technical maintenance plan and servicing schedules and enter task-completing reports to the maintenance management system.
- Under supervision, attend to fault rectification tasks at multiple locations.
- Assist with the use of service schedules and maintenance instructions to guide reactive and preventative activities.

The first step to your success will be to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria:
- Minimum Cert III in Electrotechnology Electrician (attached to application preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (online assessment)
- Meet V/Line's Rail Industry Worker safety benchmarks (online assessment)
- Strong motivation, alignment to V/Line values and a commitment to training and development (Video Introduction)
- Current full Driver's License
In-person interviews for our August 2024 Trainee intake will commence mid-June. Invitations to attend will be based on your success in stage one.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening including, probity (police) checks, medical assessment, and Australian entitlement to work. Employees of V/Line are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check Victoria (Employee) for the duration of employment.
