Our in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offers some of the best training in the world and gives us the capability to develop our workforce to the highest industry standard. Due to a recent internal opportunity, we are currently seeking an experienced Trainer Assessor to support our WA operations.
The role
As a Trainer Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing training within our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based in Kewdale and also site operations. Training groups can vary from existing Otraco employees, entry-level trainees or external clients looking to develop their tyre servicing capabilities. Utilising your highly advanced training capabilities, you will train employees and clients to perform all required mine site heavy duty tyre maintenance activities with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency as per company policies and procedures.
About you
You will be a self-motivated Trainer/Assessor with extensive earth mover, agricultural, passenger and heavy tyre fitting experience. The Trainer Assessor is a full-time role, Monday to Friday with regular site travel and rotating roster work required. The ideal candidate will hold:
- Current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or predecessor TAE 40116
- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology, minimum requirement of AUR21916
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in tyre fitting on mine sites
- A valid and current Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence
- Supervisory experience
- A current WorkSafe Forklift (LF) Licence
- Strong focus on safety and following procedures
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a high level of initiative
- Experience with Online Learning Management Systems would be desirable
