About the role:

The Rail Maintenance team is currently seeking a Trainer & Assessor to join them on a 8 Days on, 6 Days off Roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Superintendent Rail Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing training support and technical capability in ensuring that the workforce is compliant and competent to perform specific and general tasks.

Duties:

• Actively maintain competency matrix utilising your knowledge around statutory regulations, legislation and Roy Hill policies and procedures
• Ensure written training material remains current to operating standards published by the original equipment manufacturers or governing bodies
• Deliver Group, Online and Individual classroom training as required
• Champion training and assessment delivery to the business in a professional and consistent manger

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in heavy haul operation, with technical knowledge of rail rolling stock, track equipment, load out, unload and maintenance
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at minimum
• Unrestricted C Class Australian Drivers License
• Advanced Computer Literacy and Communication Skills, written and verbal
