Job Summary
Exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced, highly skilled, and qualified individual looking to take up a chance to the evolving DECA Transport and Logistics team.
As a Driver Trainer located at our Shepparton Campus you will deliver a high standard of Heavy Vehicle Licensing and professional corporate training courses and assessments. The role is responsible for focusing participants on the required outcomes whilst managing time and encouraging learning.
About The Role
The Driver Trainer delivers Heavy Vehicle Licensing and professional corporate training courses and assessment in accordance with the Continuous Improvement framework, AQTF standards and Wodonga Institute of TAFE (WIOT) values. The role is responsible for focusing participants on the required outcomes whilst managing time and encouraging learning.
Selected Duties:
- Conduct training programs in a professional manner and in accordance with AQF and Contract standards and Wodonga Institute of TAFE procedures and expectations.
- Contribute to the design, revision and maintenance of all training methodologies, resources and activities as required.
- Forecast and book training resources, equipment and facilities ensuring the cost effective deployment of staff for training delivery.
- The ability to deliver theoretical and practical field training to large and small groups.
- Perform all duties, in accordance with Wodonga Institute of TAFE’s occupational health and safety policies and procedures including WorkSafe, EPA, Victorian and VicRoads laws and regulations, relevant to the activities being undertaken.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a willingness to complete qualification.
- Held a multi combination licence for a minimum of 2 years, with 3 years broad experience in the transport industry.
- Desirable - Certificate III in Transport and Logistics
