Panorama Coaches is an exciting place to work. Operating a large fleet of modern buses and coaches from our Diamond Creek depot, our goal is to get our customers to their destination comfortably, safely and with great service.
We have a strong presence in the educational, charter and school camp markets, providing a series of Melbourne Private school bus services across the Inner, East, North and Northeastern suburbs as well as providing five contracted metropolitan route services.
We are currently seeking a proactive, energetic and customer focused Operations Assistant Supervisor /Driver Trainer to support our current supervisor team in the coordination of bus operations with a focus on Charter operations as well as Regular Route Service and School Bus Services. The position will also require the successful applicant to perform some on road driver training as well as conducting our driver induction training program to small groups of new driving staff. This position works closely with the Operations Manager with a team approach towards achieving objectives. Full operations training will be provided to the successful applicant. Hours of work will vary between 05:00am and 05:30pm with three 05:00am starts per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Efficient running of bus operations, ensuring service, safety and cost efficiency are of the highest levels.
- Conducting our driver induction training program.
- On road driver training including test driving new applicants.
- Supervision of staff, including rostering, driver communications, and coordination of training to meet standards required.
- Charter allocations, fleet and staff scheduling
- Coordination and supervision of schools runs.
- Relief supervision of charter and contract services operations.
- Rotating after hours “on call” duties
Skills and experience required.
- Experience in fleet operations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable legislation and standards
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to schedule effectively and to prioritize any unexpected changes.
- Excellent communication with an ability to provide clear direction, keep people informed and build positive working relationships.
- Exemplary customer service skills, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to remain calm and in control.
- Hold MR - HR Licence, Drivers Accreditation Certificate and Working with Children Check mandatory.
