About the role
This position is responsible for building and developing relationships with volunteers and staff to ensure the successful adoption of Surf Life Saving NSW policies and programs, with a specific focus on providing a high level of administrative support for the Training and Education function.
Some of the key duties will include:
- First point of contact for SLSNSW members with Training and assessment administration responsibilities.
- Manage incoming calls and emails.
- Research answers to queries and contribute towards continuous improvement activities.
- Support the TAF (Trainer/Assessor/Facilitator) re-endorsement process across the state.
- Create and maintain reports, Excel spreadsheets, online forms and manage the membership database.
- Maintain the Training and Education resources on SLSNSW’s website and SLSA’s Member’s Area Library.
- Develop positive working relationships with clubs and members.
- Ensure effective communication/information flow between SLSNSW and SLSA.
What you’ll need
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including commitment to confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work as part of a dynamic, outcomes focused team
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and multitask.
- Strong problem-solving skills and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Flexible attitude to work, including weekend work.
- Experience or understanding of the volunteer, Not-for-Profit, and/or the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality sector would be highly regarded.
