Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking to engage a professional and passionate Training Manager for our VET operations.
About the role
The Training Manager is responsible for the overall management and compliance of all VET programs and the training team. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the quality of all programs is adhered to whilst maintaining all compliance, legislative, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.
The successful applicant will report to the General Manager and will be working closely with the ELICOS Director of Studies. This role is part of the Leadership Team and is expected to lead innovation and change within the VET department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to VET operations across course design, delivery, and assessment in line with regulatory compliance requirement.
- Oversee the full student lifecycle from enrolment to completion which includes but is not limited to managing student absenteeism, class timetables, the resources, and the systems.
- Hands on day-to-day operational management of the teaching team.
- Assist with the creation and development new curriculum, training methods & resources.
- Conduct regular class visits to assess training delivery quality in line with compliance and the RTO’s requirements.
- Prepare and participate in relevant periodic audits, ensuring findings are addressed to compliance standards.
- Prepare and present accurate reports to Management, utilising AVETMISS Data and SMMS Data on student cycle, progression, engagement, and other statistics.
- Ensure Trainer Matrices, mapping and evidence, course materials and assessments are up to date.
- Mentor, train, support trainers and provide professional development, assessors and teachers where needed.
- Promote and exemplify the adherence to NVR, WHS, State contracts and other relevant compliance throughout all duties.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working in CRICOS VET sector with a focus on Early Childhood Education, Aged Care and Community Services preferred.
- Tertiary Degree is preferred, but not essential.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of compliance, including RTO Standards and Ethe National Code.
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems and VETtrak SMMS (preferred).
- High level analytical, problem-solving and attention to details skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and plan at a strategic level within a complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
- Ability to travel between the Sydney CBD and Gold Coast Campuses when required.
