Transport Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Transport Administrator to join our client, Australia's largest, family-owned food service distributor in a newly created role. 

You will play a vital part in the effective running of the transport department by providing a high level of administrative support, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring that transport operations run smoothly. 

This role is Monday – Friday, commencing at 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with drivers - driver debrief/runsheet processing
• Providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to both internal and external stakeholders
• Respond to customer queries, ensuring any discrepancies are recorded, investigated and resolved in a friendly and professional manner.
• Entering data into relevant systems, generating reports, and maintaining accurate records. 
• Ad hoc administrative duties

To be successful for this role, you will need the following experience:

• Experience working in a fast-paced Transport role: Administration, Coordinating, Planning
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships
• The ability to work well under pressure is crucial as well as being able to offer solutions to resolve any issues 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & WMS
