Full Time Transport Company Manager
FCL Labour Force Pty Ltd (servicing FCL Transport Services Pty Ltd) requires a full time Transport Company Manager. We are a family-owned business that specializes in FCL Container Cartage, Container Unpacks, Re-Delivery services, and Interstate Transport at competitive prices. We operate 24/7 to provide uninterrupted FCL Cartage and Warehouse Distribution Services. Our modern fleet of Trucks comprises over 20 Volvo Prime Movers, Skel Trailers, B-Double Trailers, Side Loaders, and A-Double combinations.
To be located in Eastern Creek (Western Sydney), we are seeking a Full Time Transport Company Manager with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent in substantial experience. Salary of $90,000 + Super for this full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse fleet performance and take necessary corrective actions within stipulated guidelines, identify equipment efficiencies and seek improvements.
- Ensure drivers and vehicles comply with regulations and procedures at all times.
- Ensure that the fleet meets servicing and maintenance schedules for both local and line haul driving requirements.
- Ensure Legislative and OH&S guidelines are adhered to.
- Make sure load plans are used and equipment is added into load plans before they are used.
- Plan ahead on operational requirements for the area/s, and plan to train drivers and source equipment as required.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained by inspecting vehicles, overseeing repairs, performing routine maintenance, organising the purchase of relevant equipment and fuel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, clients, and business partners.
- Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and managing service quality.
- Liaise with clients to assess their needs and offering guidance and information on vehicle options, purchase or rental rates, and responsibilities. Additionally, addressing and resolving customer complaints when necessary.
- Receive, accept and handle orders and reservations on behalf of the company from the customers and plan, create and execute schedules.
- Be available and experienced to complete driver deliveries as required to meet operational demands.
- Organising and make arrangements for the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum Diploma qualification.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 2 years of experience in highly relevant role required.
- Competency in the above tasks and duties.
- Similar experience in a similar role in particular showing responsibility for revenue and budgets and people management.

- Strong transport knowledge
- Able to demonstrate successes with other companies, for example operational, financial and/or revenue achievements
- Ability to lead, delegate and perform to a high standard
- Strong verbal and written communication techniques with an analytical thinking approach
- Able to show accountability, be customer focused and hold people accountable for individual and team goals.
