This is your chance to join the versatile Redpath Cannington underground team in an exciting Development or Ground Support role. The South32 Cannington operation is 200km from Cloncurry in North-West Queensland. The Cannington Redpath team is over 120 personnel strong and benefits from the job security that comes from a long standing contractual relationship spanning more than 30 years! Redpath are industry leaders in underground ground support, with Cannington contributing to the 15,000m3 of shotcrete applied and the 35,000m of cablebolts installed by Redpath around Australia each month.
About the role:
Exciting times ahead and opportunities for Redpath Mining in QLD at our Cannington Mine. We are seeking experienced tradesperson to join our maintenance team as an Electrician. Workshop environment is surface based and will be required underground for breakdowns.
Roster on Offer: 7 days on, 7 days off roster, permanent day shift.
FIFO – Flights from Brisbane, Townsville & Cairns.
Accommodation & Meals provided.
Candidate Requirements:
- Underground hardrock mining/tunnel experience
- Maintenance on Sandvik Underground equipment is highly regarded
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostics skills
- Strong commitment to safety
- Valid manual drivers licence
- Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement.
