Underground Mining Engineer

Genesis Minerals have a long-term opportunity for an Underground Mining Engineer.
 
Based at our Ulysses underground operations and reporting to the Underground Manager, you will be an Underground Mining Engineer looking to expand their understanding and exposure to UG gold.
Covering all aspects of Underground Mining - mine design, scheduling, planning, ventilation, projects and production, the successful candidate will work closely together with the Underground Manager in driving the newest WA underground gold mine towards a successful future.
 
This role is well suited tor someone looking to advance their career toward a Senior Mining Engineer and then towards a management role down the track and desires exposure to an UG start-up and ramp up to commercial production. The successful Mining Engineer will be provided ample mentoring, training and guidance, as they grow with the operation and the company.
 
This is a permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering discipline two (2) to three (3) years relevant work experience.
• 2+ years in underground Mining ideally Gold or similar.
• Fine Class Mine Manager’s ticket, or eligible for one having completed your underground time.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals.
• A Dangerous Goods Security Card (preferred)
