- Fixed-term to 15/04/26, part-time, with the possibility of extension. The temporary role can be offered as a fixed-term appointment (external applicants) or as a secondment opportunity (UNE current staff).
- $ 84,516 to $ 92,899 part time pro rata per annum (HEO6)
- Plus 17% employer superannuation
- Salary packaging options are available
- 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum, part time pro rata

About the role
The Discovery Voyager Team Leader is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the UNE Discovery Voyager program and staff on a day to day basis. The UNE Discovery Voyager program develops and facilitates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) play-based, interactive activities into schools from K-10 in regional NSW. They will work closely with academics to develop and coordinate relevant content for activities to take into schools, as well as the UNE Discovery Program Leader/Head of School to enhance engagement in science outreach and engagement at UNE.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified with exceptional communication, leadership and team management experiene. It is essential that you have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to set clear team goals, delegate tasks and set deadlines while acting proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. You will ideally have a science or teaching background and experience engaging with students from K-Yr10.
